Comtesco Certified as a “Gifu Decarbonization Excellence Company”

On February 20, 2026, Comtesco’s headquarters factory was officially certified as a “Gifu Decarbonization Excellence Company” by Gifu Prefecture.
At the certification ceremony held on the same day, Comtesco was presented with an official certificate of recognition.

Overview of the Certification

Gifu Prefecture promotes initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions resulting from business activities.
Under the Gifu Prefecture Ordinance on Global Warming Prevention and Climate Change Adaptation, businesses with relatively high levels of emissions are required to submit both a Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Plan and an Annual Performance Report, which are then evaluated by the prefecture.

Among the eligible businesses, those that have achieved outstanding emission reduction results are recognized and certified as “Gifu Decarbonization Excellence Companies.”

Comtesco’s Initiatives

Taking the opportunity of its factory renewal, Comtesco has implemented the following improvements:

  • Optimization of air-conditioning efficiency through the introduction of high-efficiency heat pump HVAC systems and the use of air-conditioning systems that enhance outside air treatment efficiency
  • Further improvement of HVAC performance by installing devices that promote refrigerant liquefaction, thereby increasing refrigerant efficiency
  • Installation of solar panels at existing buildings and the new factory, with a total capacity of 855 KW

Through these initiatives, Comtesco has steadily reduced energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Future Initiatives

In order to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, Comtesco will continue to promote further energy savings and decarbonization through the following initiative:

  • Additional installation of solar panels (850 KW)

Comtesco remains committed to ongoing efforts to reduce environmental impact and aims to grow together with local communities while contributing to a more sustainable future.
